Sony Xperia E3 dual SIM KitKat phone set to go on sale in India for Rs 11990

We’ve been expecting the Sony Xperia E3 smartphone to get an official launch in India and sure enough, it’s soon set to be available in single and dual SIM options. The former model is priced at Rs 11990, while the latter will set you back by Rs 12990.

The Sony Xperia E3 was launched at the IFA 2014 in Berlin earlier this month and it didn’t take the Japanese OEM long to bring it to India. The handset is an entry-level one offering Android 4.4 KitKat and a good dose of features. And it looks pretty appealing as it flaunts a design akin to that of the company’s flagship phones.

But it doesn’t quite standout from the competition as far as specs are concerned. It comes fitted with a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display, a 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon processor, a 5MP rear camera, a VGA front snapper and 4GB of internal storage. These components are pretty much at par with what the new Android One devices offer, but at half the price.

On the upside, the Sony Xperia E3 handset offers a good battery capacity of 2330mAh which will be able to deliver around 12 hours of 3G talk time. The handset will also have to compete against The Moto G second generation in that price range as well as the ZenFone series from Asus.
