Although late in coming, the new Sony SmartWatch 3 and SmartBand Talk are soon to make their debut in India for fans of wearable technology. Both devices have been spotted on the company’s website along with prices and we could see them hit stores in the coming days for Rs 19990 and Rs 12990, respectively.
The Sony SmartWatch 3 is the third iteration from the company and the first to be powered by the Android Wear OS. It was originally showcased at the IFA 2014 expo back in September and can operate with or without a smartphone. What makes it a great companion is that you’ll be able to load it with music thanks to its 4GB of internal storage when you don’t have a phone around.
The Sony device comes with several other handy features worth talking about. Apart from the usual capabilities of making and receiving calls, there’s also notifications support as well as voice command through Ok Google. You can even customize it with different wrist straps and download third-party apps to unlock its full potential.

Even the SmartBand Talk made its debut at the IFA 2014 and while it doesn’t offer most of the features found on the SmartWatch 3, it keeps you updated with notifications and social updates, apart from letting you answer or reject calls. The device also acts as a fitness monitor and comes in multiple colors. Sony has designed it with an e-ink display, a IP68 water- and dust-resistant body and around 3 days of battery life.
