Sony Online Entertainment merges the gap between the game terrain and real world with its latest offering. The company extends its EverQuest II franchise with a new cross-platform mobile application dubbed as EQII Mobile. Through this offering, handset owners can seamlessly connect to the game remotely as well as access the different game features. They can even communicate with other players within the gaming grounds.

The latest application keeps gamers connected to social tools and information pertaining to the title while travelling or in their own home. At launch, the company will unveil In-Game Chat & Mail, Character Profile Access, Guild Tools and Norrath Map Indicator. The former enables players to chat with friends via any world or guild channel. They can also send in-game mail messages to them.

Thanks to Character Profile Access, gamers can view and share character stats such as achievements, currently equipped items and faction. The app also allows them to view their guildmates’ map location and online status. Finally, through the Norrath Map Indicator, the nearby landmarks and current location of handset owners’ characters can be acquired.

EQII Mobile can be taken advantage of absolutely free of cost through iPhone, Android and Blackberry device marketplaces.
