Sony Ericsson’s forthcoming XPERIA X2 “Vulcan” Windows Mobile smartphone’s detailed specifications have been revealed by an alleged insider, according to IntoMobile.
The XPERIA X1 was the first to unveil Sony Ericsson’s Panel UI which was claimed to be much better than Windows Mobile’s UI. The XPERIA X1 also brought the ultra-high-end XPERIA smartphone brand to the limelight. Although the X1 possessed several high-tech features, this first-generation phone still had room for improvement. That’s where the X2 comes in.
The next-gen XPERIA is anticipated to have a bigger touchscreen display, a better processor and oodles of RAM. It features an amazing 8.1 megapixel camera with autofocus, video recording in VGA resolution at 30 fps. It sports a 3.5 inch WVGA OLED. It has GPS navigation, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, an accelerometer, faster processor and 512MB RAM.
In addition, it runs on a custom Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system which is very speedy and is equal to what the iPhone has and better in some cases. XPERIA Panels offer cutting-edge features and these panels enable upgrading to Windows Mobile 7.
The XPERIA X2 may also arrive with a capacitance-based touchscreen.
