Sony Ericsson has announced the launch of new mobile phone which is the W760i. This mobile phone belongs to the Walkman family and also features tri-band HSDPA and Quad-band EDGE which offers the users high speed of downloads.

This mobile phone being in the walkman series is meant for the music lovers. The W760i comes with a built in GPS, built in Stereo Speakers and also offers the latest hit games which include Need for Speed ProStreet.

Ben Padley, Head of Music Marketing at Sony Ericsson commented, “People today are always on the move, so it’s important that they can stay in touch and have their entertainment at their fingertips,” said.

He further added, “The W760 fits perfectly into this lifestyle. It is bold, action-packed and takes the Walkman phone beyond just music”

The features at a glance offered by Sony Ericsson’s W760i include:

  • Stay grounded: GPS and Wayfinder Navigator1)built-in, plus Google Maps for step-by-step directions to your destination.
  • Share your music inside and out: Twin speakers with Stereo Widening plus an optional Active Speaker for outdoor use
  • Match your mood: Choose and match your music with SensMe
  • Score big: great gaming features, motion control and widescreen game play. Need for Speed ProStreet preloaded
  • The W760i has a built-in Wayfinder Navigator which enables users to find their way around. It also has a GPS supported application known as Tracker which tells the user how fast he/she can run.

    The W760i comes with built-in speakers and the users can also use Active Speaker MAS-100. It also has FM radio antenna for the users to listen to.

    The user can store up to 950 tracks and the music tracks can be changed with a shake with the help of SensMe.

    The Sony Ericsson W760i has a display screen of 2.2 inches. Media User Interface rotates the images depending on how the mobile phone is held. This auto rotate function is applicable for photos, videos and even games.

    The mobile phone has a built in camera of 3.2 mega pixel to capture special moments. The photos can be stored in 1GB memory stick which can be transferred to PC through the PC Suite.

    The Sony Ericsson W760i will be made available in select markets during the second quarter of 2008.
