So we aren’t the only ones sitting around the office thinking up things to do. The guys at Sony Ericsson claimed their chance to make this world better to live in by their newest design for a modular mobile phone.
The brand new patent, ‘Detachable Housings for a Wireless Communication Device’ wherein, brace yourselves, the screen forms a single module, while the keypad, camera, GPS receiver, etc. are on another module.
The modules can be separated from each other but remain connected to each via Bluetooth. Its creators say that this could allow the mobile to offer a whole range of features by alternating the various modules while maintaining its lean design.
Perhaps phenomenal; but why does it bear strange resemblance to the time my phone ‘broke to bits’!
