Smurfs' Village

Most of us would surely remember watching The Smurfs on TV when we were kids. Well, those blue bodied creatures have hopped and skipped to the iPhone in the form of an attractive social game by Capcom Mobile. Dubbed Smurfs’ Village, this title lets iPhone owners rebuild the Smurfs’ village that had been destroyed by Gargamel. It is said to be the foremost in a series of entertainment projects scripted on the Smurfs.

In Smurfs’ Village, gamers have to build the village from a single mushroom house along with a lone plowed plot of land. All this will be carried out under the guidance of Papa Smurf. Players can be quick to progress from thereon and erect elaborate gardens with colorful crops, specialized houses, trodden paths, and bridges on running rivers. Popular characters like Smurfette, Papa Smurf and Jokey Smurf bring along unique skills and perks.

“Smurfs’ Village brings the fun and cooperative nature of social games to the charming world of the Smurfs for the first time,” asserted Midori Yuasa, President and COO, Capcom Interactive. “Every element in the village is full of detail, and players can take these building blocks, tap into their own creativity, and make something completely unique and wonderful to share with others.”

In addition to the above, handset owners can play mini games such as Painter Smurf’s Painting Game, Greedy Smurf’s Baking Game, and Papa Smurf’s Potion Mixing Game, while at the same time unlock extra bonuses in Smurfs’ Village. Moreover, they can share their experience with family and friends through their Facebook account. Gaming aficionados can pay to procure Smurfberries as downloadable content to augment their construction spree.

Smurfs’ Village is available free of cost and is anticipated to be up on the App Store by November. Additional content updates are said to follow.
