Sling Media makes available the SlingPlayer Mobile software in some Black Berry smartphones. The application is available to Slingbox customers in the US, Canada and the UK via free download during the public beta period.
Connecting to any 3G or Wi-Fi network, the SlingPlayer Mobile offers an entire home TV experience wherein users can enjoy local channels, local sports teams, video on demand and pay per view on their fingertips. The software also allows users to control home digital video recorder so that live TV can be recorded, paused, rewind and fast forwarded a while watching a recorded show.

The SlingPlayer Mobile software can operate in BlackBerry device software 4.5 or on a higher version. The software is compatible with BlackBerry Bold, BlackBerry Curve 8900, BlackBerry8820, BlackBerry Curve 8320, BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 and BlackBerry Pearl 8120 devices.
