Slick new Motorola Razr Android smartphone launched

Motorola RAZR Just announced, the Motorola Razr brings along with it various advanced functionalities and runs on Gingerbread. This extremely thin smartphone, measuring only 7.1mm, features a bright 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced display which claims to present detailed, clear and vivid images to users.

The newest Motorola handset sports a splash-guard coating all over its body and comes incorporated with Corning Gorilla Glass. Powered by a 1.2GHz processor, it is equipped with an 8MP camera through which users can take videos in 1080p. This device features 1GB of RAM and operates on Android 2.3.5.

“Motorola Razr is an iconic brand, and one that originally revolutionized the mobile device industry by turning a functional necessity into an object of desire. Now we’ve done it again with a head-turning, ultra-thin smartphone that offers users breathtaking speed, innovative apps and revolutionary accessories,” cited Sanjay Jha, chairman and CEO, Motorola Mobility.

The Razr is preloaded with the MotoCast app which allows users to stream or download music and pictures directly from their PC. It is also noted as a ‘business ready’ smartphone owing to the presence of government-grade encryption that secures the calendar, email and contacts. It also includes the Motorola Smart Actions app that enables users to automate certain tasks covering toning down of the ringer upon entering the workplace. Users can also modify the Bluetooth and GPS settings after reaching home to save on battery.

The Motorola Razr is set to be available in North America, Asia, Europe, Latin America, Middle East and Africa from next month. Details regarding its exact price and availability have not yet been revealed.
