Sky Mobile TV app for O2 iPhone users

Sky Sports Logo O2 brings the new Sky Mobile TV application at the Apple App Store which will be available for free to the first 1m50,000 O2 iPhone users for the first three months.

With this application, users can view a live feed of content that costs £6 per month. Sky Mobile TV brings several channels such as Sky Sports 1, 2 and 3, Sky Sports News, Sky Sports Extra, Sky News. Users can access At The Races and ESPN channels through Wi-Fi connectivity. As a part of the iPhone tariff on O2, users can enjoy unlimited Wi-Fi in the UK.

“The Sky Mobile TV app is just the thing for a sports fan on the go and we’re pleased to be able to bring this app to our customers free on Wi-Fi for the first three months,” stated Peter Rampling, Head of Consumer Mobile, O2 UK. “We’ve also seen nearly 500,000 people download our My O2 app so making it available to even more customers is something we were really keen to do. These apps combined help reaffirm our commitment to our iPhone customers and help us remain the home of the smartphone.”

Later this month, O2 also plans to refresh its free My O2 app that helps users in managing their purchases. An expansion of the My O2 section of o2.co.uk, this application exhibits all information about customers’ mobile phone tariff specially designed to fit the device’s screen. Users can view information like remaining allowances, calling plan prices, Bolt Ons along with valuable iPhone tips. Pay-as-you-go customers can also view their current charges, bill amount and bill summary. This app is further extended for users who manage more than one mobile number. Owing to this extension, users can check the usage of up to three numbers.

The Sky Mobile TV app is available at the Apple App Store. O2 iPhone users can text ‘SKY’ to 2020 to download a promotional code that enables them to procure the application free for the first three months.
