We guess slider phones are a rage these days. The most recently launched slider phone is the Samsung Sway, a Samsung slider phone to come through Verizon. A slim slider phone dressed in silver, the Samsung Sway is a neat media-centric phone.
With a 2.2″ 262k color display, the handset comprises of a 2 megapixel digital camera, as a music player compatible with regular MP3 files and Verizon’s V CAST Music with Rhapsody service. In case you are not aware, Rhapsody service may require a PC for loading music, but it’s a bad deal considering you gain access to more the 5 million songs.
The Samsung Sway is additionally packed with features that include an IM support, text and picture messages support and Bluetooth with A2DP stereo profile and a microSD memory cards for additional storage room. According to Verizon, the phone is compatible with cards as large as 8GB in capacity.
With dimensions of 105.4mm x 49.8mm x 12.0mm and weighing about 101g (3.6oz), the Samsung Sway boasts of a battery that should last you up to 4.5 hours in talk time and 13 days of standby time.
The handset is now available online as per order via Verizon Wireless’s website for about $69.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a two-year agreement. The Samsung Sway is slated to hit stores on October 14th 2008.
