Samsung Star II Duos, Metro Duos and Metro 3752 phones arrive in India

Samsung Dual-Sim Phones

Samsung has introduced three new dual-SIM phones for India namely, the Star II Duos C6712, Metro Duos C3322 and Metro C3752. These handsets have extended the company’s dual-SIM portfolio in the country to a total of no less than fourteen models.

The Metro Duos offers users various connectivity options such as EDGE, Bluetooth 2.1, WAP2.0/HTML browser and USB 2.0. Running on a 1000mAh battery, it includes multimedia functions like MP3 player, FM radio, access to Facebook and Twitter as well as IMs like Yahoo, MSN, GTalk and Facebook Chat. The phone provides push mail via the pre loaded ActiveSync application and its external memory can be expanded up to 16GB through the microSD slot. The device is embedded with a 5.6cm display and its highlights are the multimedia and internet based features.

Consumers increasingly want to stay connected with friends and family through SNS, IM and messaging while being on the move. These new dual SIM offerings from Samsung meet their needs through convenient messaging features as well as dual-SIM standby feature that allow them to segregate their personal and professional lives.”

The Metro 3752 slider phone possesses a 6cm TFT display and a 3MP camera. It includes almost all the features of the Metro Duos along with support for eight regional languages. Powered by a 900mAh battery, this device offers talk time of about 11 hours. The Star II Duos touchscreen phone allows users to switch between two SIMs without having to boot it. With its Touchwiz 3.0 interface users can make smoother use of features like expandable homescreens, an intuitive UI for easy navigation, a Quick panel and Quicktype.

The handset also provides native SNS, multi IMs and push e-mail with ActiveSync. It accommodates support for Wi-Fi and 16GB expandable memory. Additionally, this Bluetooth enabled phone incorporates the SoundAlive feature which supposedly enhances earphone sound with 3D effects. Running on a 1200mAh battery, it comes with a 3.2MP camera and the FindMusic application which aids users in identifying songs they do not recognize.

The Samsung Star II Duos C6712, Metro Duos C3322 and Metro C3752 phones are now available at major mobile retail stores and are priced at Rs. 6,920, Rs. 4,240 and Rs. 5,270, respectively.
