Samsung recently launched a new camera phone in India called the Samsung Pixon M8800 phone. The company claims it to be the first 8 megapixel touchscreen phone launched in India.

The Samsung Pixon phone sports an 8 megapixel camera with several enhanced functionalities found in Digital Cameras. It includes Smile detection, Blink detection, Shake detection, Face detection, Panoramic shot and more. Images can be edited or users can also make a photo memo by scribbling over them.

The elegant Samsung Pixon phone features an 8.1cm WQVGA full touchscreen display. The phone sports an onscreen QWERTY keypad and handwriting recognition that will allow easy and precise input of data. Samsung’s intuitive TouchWiz user interface will allow users to perform operations like sweep, tap, drag and drop effortlessly.

Embedded with popular games like Millionaire 3, Diamond Twister and Brain Challenge, the Samsung Pixon phone should surely entice gamers. Moreover, users can also enjoy motion-sensor based game like the Tumbling Dice game which can be played by shaking the device. It integrates a MP3 player with SRS 3D surround sound and supports various video formats.

The Samsung Pixon phone packs in various other features such as TV output, 7.2 download speed, Bluetooth, accelerometer, 1000 mAh battery and lots more.
