Samsung phone comes preloaded with some explicit content

Samsung,AustraliaMobile phones it appears could be in the news for all the wrong reasons too. A Dick Smith store in Cairns, Queensland in Australia is in a cleft stick over allegations by a customer, a university student saying the store flogged a mobile phone with pornographic pictures.

A spokesperson at the Dick Smith store, Sydney, revealed, “We are still investigating and taking the matter very seriously, but will not be making any comment regarding the images or the outcome of the incident until we complete our investigation. We are yet to see the alleged photos.”

The student apparently reported to be in shock and disgust over the discovery of the explicit images on her brand new phone. She claimed to have found 49 pornographic pictures of a female employee from the store where she had just bought the phone. According to a Dick Smith spokesman, the Samsung mobile loaded with explicit pictures was actually a display model and was sold as it was the last unit in stock.

While the company has declined to comment on claims that it may provide compensation for the Cairns, customer, it is not really unknown for staff to borrow demo phones over the weekend. That’s if Cairns Post readers are to be believed. They claim that many a times sales staff borrow phones over the weekend and forget to wipe out their memories.
