Samsung Omnia2 spotted?

Samsung Omnia2 smartphone The forthcoming Samsung Omnia smartphone’s successor, which will apparently go by two names – Omnia2 and i8000, may have been spotted for the first time at a Lithuanian online retailer.

Reportedly, there are two major improvements to this smartphone from its predecessor. It is said to arrive with an 8.1 megapixel camera with dual-flash and it can record video in VGA resolution at 30 fps. Slashphone reports through a source from mobil.it that the new Samsung phone could feature a 3.7-inch AMOLED WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) touchscreen which comes with 16 million colors. The Omnia2 is also said to arrive with full pack connectivity and Windows Mobile OS. It will still come with the TouchWiz UI, but it will be revamped. As per grapevine, the new phone could possibly have more widgets at the sidebar.

Samsung intends to hold a press event on the 15th of June, where there is a high likelihood that they will let out information about the Samsung i8000. So it’s a few days of wait that could provide answers to the above speculation.
