Steering away from ICS treats for a while, a Windows Phone handset dubbed the Samsung Omnia M has been announced for potential users in Europe. It is said to be dedicated to audiences looking for entertainment and social networking while on the move.
Along the lines of popular Mango phones, the Samsung Omnia M follows a minimalistic pattern for its exterior. Encapsulated within its sleek chassis is a 4-inch Super AMOLED display that is touted to produce clarified visuals with reduced glare. All the operations are fueled by a processor clocking in at a speed of 1GHz. Additionally, this entrant is equipped with a 5MP autofocus camera on the flip side that offers flash and VGA.
“Mobile consumers increasingly carry and share a large part of their lives through their phones. They are looking for phones that combine individual style with the ability to consume and share all kinds of content across their ever-growing social networks. The Omnia M meets all these demands, with the enhanced performance and social options afforded by Windows Phone and Samsung services,” expressed JK Shin, President of IT and Mobile Communications Division, Samsung.
The Samsung ChatON service stays in place to offer cross-platform chatting and messaging. With the company’s AllShare attribute, a range of content like games and music stored in the smartphone can be streamed onto devices with larger screens. To satisfy audiophiles, Music Hub which has been thrown into the mix carries the SmartDJ feature. What’s more, Windows Live SkyDrive provides 25GB free storage space for video, images and documents that can be stored, accessed and shared via the service. This piece of hardware arrives with built-in Xbox Live as well as the Photo Studio software for editing snaps.
