Samsung’s Nexus S was broadly released last year in the month of December featuring Google’s Android 2.3 or Gingerbread OS in certain parts of the world. Samsung has recently announced the official availability of the Nexus S smartphone across Indian markets.
Manufactured in collaboration with Google, the stylish Nexus S showcases a 4” super clear curved LCD touchscreen to render a heightened HD multimedia viewing experience. It comes pre-loaded with several Google apps like Gmail, Google Earth, YouTube and Google Maps and Google Search amongst others. The device incorporates the latest Near Field Communication (NFC) technology that enables users to read information from close by tags which are embedded with NFC chips.

Running on a 1GHz mega processor, the phone proffers brilliant 3D graphics, high speed connectivity alternatives and internet calling (VoIP/SIP) support. It integrates a rear facing 5MP flash-enabled camera as well as a front-facing VGA camera for video calling. The handset also offers enhanced copy-paste functionality and a one-touch word selection capability.
The phone sports 16B of internal memory to satiate most data hoarding needs. It packs in a 1500mAH battery which ensures a talk time of around 6.7 hours on 3G or 14 hours on 2G and a standby time of approximately 17.8 days on 3G or 29.7 days on 2G. Additionally, it includes a gyroscope sensor to provide gamers with the ability to tilt or pan their devices when playing games for an overall smoother experience.
