Samsung licenses Red Bend mobile software management for its devices

Red Bend Software Logo Red Bend Software has announced that its entire array of Mobile software Management solutions has been certified by Samsung Electronics for their devices. With this development, future Samsung consumers can expect new features and applications managed by Red Bend in their upcoming devices.

Several handsets from Samsung, operating on Android as well as bada, which is the company’s own operating system, can now expect being upgraded with Red Bend MSM. Some of these devices include Infuse 4G sold by AT&T, Epic 4G sold by Sprint, and popular Galaxy S and Galaxy S II.

Adam Leach, practice leader of Ovum’s devices practice, said, “With Red Bend now chosen by 10 of the top handset manufacturers, Red Bend’s MSM solutions have become the de facto standard for updating mobile software over the air. With Samsung being the second handset maker globally, Red Bend services are now used and trusted by top ten handset manufacturers all over the world. Samsung approved solutions by red bend include vRapid Mobile for software management and firmware over-the-air updating and vDirect Mobile for device management.

Along with Samsung smartphones, its Galaxy line of tablets is also expected to be incorporated with MSM solutions from Red Bend.
