The Indian market has been presented with the Samsung Marine (B2100), announced recently by Samsung. This mobile phone is based on the famous ‘Next is What’ Samsung philosophy and it has various outdoor features, strong durability and a chic design.
This device is submersible in water and may create a new category in the mobile phone market in India.
“Samsung Marine is the perfect companion for consumers who enjoy active outdoor activities.” stated Sunil Dutt, Country Head, Samsung Mobile Division.
The phone has an anti-shock urethane casing and can withstand rough handling, drops, spills and dust. It has been given the IP57 certification and is perfect for outdoor mobile use, with its dust protection and water protection. It can survive under up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. It is built to tolerate extreme environments such as fog, humidity, rain, sand, extremely hot as well as extremely cold temperatures. This device has been tested under specifications defined by the US Department of Defence with Military Standard 810F (MIL-STD-810F).
Additionally, the Samsung Marine is equipped with features ideal for outdoor usage such as loud external speakers, noise cancellation and flash light. Besides these features, it also possesses abundant multimedia features such as FM radio, expandable memory up to 8GB, camcorder, built-in camera and music player. Furthermore, it is available in two colors – red and green.
The Samsung Marine B2100 attaches a price tag of Rs. 7030.
