Samsung Katalyst handset with @Home Service launched by T-Mobile USA

Samsung Katalyst and T-Mobile HotSpots @Home

T-Mobile, a network operator has introduced the HotSpots @Home service for the newly introduced Samsung Katalyst mobile phone.

The HotSpots service allows users to experience wireless coverage when the user places calls over a home Wi-Fi network with around 8,500 T-Mobile HotSpots location nationwide.

When the user leaves the home or a T-Mobile HotSpot their calls would be directly passed to T-Mobile’s wireless network while the same will would be done on T-Mobile’s network against Wi-Fi networks.

The customer on purchasing the HotSpot @Home plan would enjoy unlimited nationwide calling over Wi-Fi.

According to Saj Sahay, director of product marketing, T-Mobile USA stated, “Since launching T-Mobile HotSpot @Home in June, we’ve worked closely with companies like Samsung to expand our selection of HotSpot phones.”

The new Samsung Katalyst is a slider design mobile phone with a metallic finish. The other features of Samsung Katalyst include Bluetooth connectivity and Wi-Fi. It has a 1.3 mega-pixel camera to capture precious moments.

Samsung Katalyst also includes instant messaging which allows the user to send instant chat and supports AOL, ICQ, Yahoo and Windows Live Messenger.

It has a music player and a memory card slot which offers 1GB storage capacity.

The Samsung Katalyst is available in all T-Mobile stores across the USA and even online via the website www.t-mobile.com. The price still remains a mystery.
