At the launch even held on March 27, Samsung had announced the India launch of the Samsung Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo as well as the Gear Fit along with the Galaxy S5. And now we can confirm that the three wearable devices have hit the official eStore in the country. Customers can now visit the website to book these gadgets and they are likely to knock on their doors on or after April 11.
All of these three Samsung Gear devices feature some similarities in terms of specifications and even come with changeable straps in various colors so you can co-ordinate them with your outfits. They are fitted with Super AMOLED touchscreens and while the Fit’s screen is a tad larger at 1.84-inch, the other two gadgets’ offer viewing real estate of 1.63 inches.
One of the most important attributes of these wearables is their rugged built. All three devices have acquired the IP67 certification which makes them resistant to water as well as dust. An accelerometer, a gyroscope and a heart rate sensor are some of the other common factors amongst the Gear devices.
The Gear 2 can be picked up in shades of titan silver and gold brown and it even tags along a 2MP camera and a metallic body. Its price is tagged at Rs 21,550. The Gear 2 Neo comes in black and gray, while the Gear Fit is available only in black. These two devices are Bluetooth-enabled and have been priced at Rs 15,450.
