The official Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 price details have arrived along with news on a couple of Galaxy Players.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is available in 2 screen sizes of 10.1 inches and 7 inches. Both these variants feast on ICS, while embedding dual-core processors. To facilitate remote abilities for locating media content, an IR blaster has been incorporated within the slates as well. Needless to mention, they arrive with Google Play access and Adobe Flash support.

“These new Galaxy Tab 2 and Galaxy Player devices deliver what consumers have come to expect from all Samsung products – exceptional design, impressive connectivity options and a selection of choices for each type of person and user scenario. A one size fits all solution is just not sufficient,” remarked Tim Baxter, President, Samsung Electronics America.

Samsung Galaxy Player 3.6

The Galaxy Players are available with displays of 4.2 inches and 3.6 inches, with the former being of the WVGA type and the latter having an HVGA screen. Functioning on the Gingerbread platform, the devices entail options for USB 2.0, Bluetooth 3.0 and a microSD card. They are expected to hook up to Wi-Fi hotspots quite easily. What’s more, the Player 4.2 is equipped with dual-speakers for those musical encounters.

The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 can be pre-ordered for $249.99 starting today and it will be up for sale from April 22 onwards. The 10.1-inch tablet and Player 4.2 may be pre-ordered on May 4 and they will hit retail on May 13. They are priced at $399.99 and $199.99, in that order. All the devices can be bought from outlets like Amazon, Best Buy, Tiger Direct and others. The Samsung Galaxy Player 3.6 price is marked at $149.99 and it is available at Best Buy and other stores.
