Those who have been anticipating some concrete news concerning the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini are in luck, seeing as the company had earlier been caught accidentally parading the compact version of its latest crown jewel, on its app store. But this didn’t last for long as the manufacturer shortly pulled down the handset from the list of smartphones on the portal.
What’s absurd is that the two variants which were spotted had tagged along model numbers reading GT-I9195 and SGH-I257. While the former according to previous rumors has been pegged as the smartphone’s LTE-equipped version, this is the first time that the latter has received any recognition as one of the handset’s codenames. Also, there is no trace of the purported single and dual SIM units this time.
In the past, speculations concerning the handset had stated that it is most likely to bear a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touch display, across which owners will apparently be able to view the TW Nature UX 2.0 user interface at a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. Probably following in the footsteps of the manufacturer’s flagship, the phone may adopt the latest version of Android Jelly Bean.
Its rear side has been estimated to boast of an 8MP camera and even though a front-mounted webcam is quite visible from the leaked images, there are no details concerning its sensor or features just yet. If previous rumors were anything to go by, the duos variant will come packing a dual core processor, while the single SIM model has supposedly been presented with a quad core CPU.
The image that has surfaced through the current news gives credence to the white frost-hued model, but it has yet to be ascertained whether black mist is in the works as well. Even with so many details out in the open, the handset’s price and precise release date have still not headed before us, but there’s quite the chance that the device could be launched sometime during mid-July.
