Even though the Samsung Galaxy S4 may have missed the MWC just as anticipated, the manufacturer won’t have us waiting for it indefinitely. What comes as a surprise is that paper invitations to the launch event are being handed out at the company’s booth at the ongoing tech show in Barcelona.
So it has been confirmed that March 14 is indeed the day that the Galaxy S4 will be making its identity officially known worldwide (What else is ‘Ready 4 the show’ supposed to mean?). The folks over at Engadget who happened to be at the event, seem to have nabbed the opportunity and bagged what they tag ‘the golden ticket’.
As predicted earlier, the launch show dubbed Unpacked, will be held in Radio City Music Hall, New York City. The company’s upcoming flagship device will be stepping out from behind the curtains at 7pm ET. With one rumor authenticated, we are assuming rest of the speculations will fall into place. Or not.
We are mostly expecting a 5-inch phablet exhibiting a Super AMOLED screen and driven by an 8 core processor, probably of the Exynos kind. According to the recent buzz, the smartphone may run the latest version of the Android OS. With respect to interesting software features, we had previously reported about two attributes – Eye Pause and Eye Scroll. These will supposedly be included in the phone too.
Well, this year is already proving to be very busy for the South Korean conglomerate, bearing in mind that devices like the Note 8.0, the S2 Plus, the Xcover 2 amongst many more have shredded the rumor tag and accepted official recognition. Even so, not all assumptions made in the past have been verified.
Resuming the topic at hand, it is still too early to decipher when the Samsung Galaxy S4 is meant to descend into stores. Even the likely price has been withheld. We are hoping the company will help us solve this dilemma and announce the said details at the appointed hour.
