On February 1, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S23 range to the world but ahead of that, an inevitable leak has given us a look at what the Ultra and Plus models from the lineup will look like.

What appear to be official renders of the two phones are showcasing their design as well as the color options they will be made available in. Phantom Black, Cotton Flower (Cream), Botanic Green and Misty Lilac are the four shades the phones might come dressed in.

The overall design of the Galaxy S23 Ultra seems very much similar to that of its predecessor, which too came with a built-in S Pen. And it’s perhaps the presence of the 200MP main sensor that has led to a slight increase in its thickness.

The design of the Galaxy S23 Plus sees a bigger change though. As can be seen in these renders that have come from Dutch publication Nieuwe Mobile, the island that lodged the camera sensors on the previous-gen phones is gone now.

This gives the device’s rear surface a more uniform and simplistic look. It’s expected that the main sensor in this cluster will be a 50MP unit.

The Galaxy S23 range is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and if recent reports are to be believed, this will be an overclocked version of the SoC.

Another rumor is that an iPhone-like satellite communication feature will be part of the Ultra variant, while an upgraded fingerprint scanner is also said to enter the phones. Not much else is known about the specs of these upcoming Samsung flagships.

As we said, February 1 is when the Samsung Galaxy S23 range will be unveiled to the world. We’ll have more on it when newer details are out.
