The Galaxy S Pro handset appears to have been surrounded by quite a few speculations ever since a few pictures of the handset were spotted. Looks like Android Central has managed to lay their hands on some features of this Android 2.1 based device.
The phone according to their ‘source’ is cited to flaunt a Super AMOLED 4″ touchscreen displaying a resolution of about 480 x 800p. It could be powered by the Samsung/Intrinsity ARM Cortex A8 processor that operates at a speed of about 1GHz. The QWERTY keypad of the device may be fitted with raised keys that are made using soft plastic.
Additionally, users are can expect the inclusion of a 512MB RAM and a 5MP rear facing camera. The camera may also allow recording video in a resolution of 720p. The source further reveals that it is attributed with an optical zoom and is accompanied by a front facing VGA camera. Users may view videos in H.264 and Divx formats.
The phone, apparently, is Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n capable and may also support EVDO Rev. A/Wimax services. The exterior is embedded with an additional SIM card slot. There is also a mention about the gadget featuring the TouchWiz 3.0 interface.
The Galaxy S Pro smartphone may hit markets from next week. Sadly the pricing details of the phone are still under wraps.
