Samsung Galaxy NX camera unveiled, based on Android Jelly Bean

The Samsung Galaxy NX camera, a successor to the previously released Android-based snapper made its appearance at the company’s event held on June 20 in London. Although the South Korea-based OEM officially introduced the shooter, it refrained from letting out its exact availability details. This device shared the spotlight with some other Samsung products like the Ativ Q and the Ativ Tab 3, and the S4 zoom, mini and Active were also present at the venue.

Apparently, the Samsung Galaxy NX camera is the first interchangeable-lens shooter to always stay connected over 3G, 4G LTE or Wi-Fi. The versatile CSC’s internet connection facilitates instant sharing of pictures and videos. In order to enhance images, it tags along Photo Suggest which provides location-based recommendations at popular spots across the world. Its Story Album creates a digital photo book that can easily be shared and viewed on a slew of compatible gadgets.

It can shoot at the rate of 8.6 frames per second and claims to have a shutter speed of 1/6000. The driving force behind the camera is a quad core processor which can clock in a speed of 1.6GHz and seeks assistance from 2GB of RAM. In case its 16GB onboard memory fails to hold all the pictures and videos, prospective customers can slip in a microSD card of up to 64GB capacity into a dedicated expansion slot.
