All those patient souls waiting for the Samsung Galaxy Note ICS update must hang on a little longer as it may only arrive sometime in Q2. The latest word from the company did forecast the availability of the OS for a range of devices, where the Note was one of them.

The update seems to have been postponed to the middle of the year with no explicit reasons provided for the same, at present. Nevertheless, considering that this piece of news comes straight from Samsung Norway, we can very well assume that the post was limited to just that region and does not cover other parts of the globe.

While we have already reached the middle of March, a Q2 update means we will have to keep the patience alive for 3 months and more. This tidbit was mentioned on Ubergizmo, who stumbled upon the Facebook Norway page of the Korean manufacturer.

As for the device, one of its highlights is the S Pen which enables people to scribble on the screen, just like using an analog pen. Currently operating on the Gingerbread OS, it features a 5.29-inch WXGA HD Super AMOLED display offering 800 × 1280p screen resolutions. Furthermore, it entails an 8MP camera on the back panel that supports autofocus, LED flash and more. There’s also a 2MP front-facing snapper for video conferencing.

While sailing on Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich update presently looks far from reach for Samsung Galaxy Note fans, it is not unattainable after all.
