If you’ve paid the hefty price of Rs 64900 for the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge in India in spite of the feeling that it should have come with Android 5.0 Lollipop aboard, the update is here. The smartphone ran on KitKat at launch, something which was the least of its problems upon release into the market.
The oddly asymmetrical look of the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge that gives it such a long-winded name, has to do with its touchscreen. The display curves into its left side, but keeps to the limit set by the right part of the bezel. The recently unveiled Galaxy S6 Edge has more aesthetic appeal in comparison because of its three-sided panel.
In case you’re left-handed, the ideal choice would be to buy any other phone but the Galaxy Note Edge. But hey, if you can’t afford Samsung’s latest flagship’s three-sided screen, you can at least enjoy half the glory with this one. There’s an option in settings to let you use the handset upside down so that the curved edge is to your left.

Samsung has infused the Note Edge with a Revolving user interface built with the intention of matching it to the curved display design. The extra screen space is for notifications, messages, calls, the clock utility and other such functions which should ideally be accessible from it. As you can see from the list below, it may not be worth upwards of Rs 60000.
