Bearing an extremely thin profile of 5.9mm, the Samsung Galaxy A8 has just arrived in India and is slated to be made available for purchase today onwards at Rs 32500. This device happens to be the South Korean giant’s slimmest smartphone ever, and it’s also highlighted by the fact that it features a fingerprint scanner on it.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 has been outed in the form of black, white and gold color options. It runs the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS that has been garnished with the latest TouchWiz offerings meant to enhance the user experience. Two SIM slots exist on it,but you have to sacrifice one if you wish to add a microSD card.

But you’ll only need it if your storage needs exceed 32GB. A 5.7-inch full HD display of the Super AMOLED type has found its way onto this Samsung phone. While its Chinese variant features a Snapdragon 615 chipset, the Indian model has gone for an octa core Exynos 5430 SoC that’s inhabited by four 1.3GHz cores and four 1.8GHz ones.

The camera setup of the Galaxy A8 includes a 16MP rear snapper that’s complemented by optical image stabilization, an f/1.9 aperture opening and an LED flash. The front-facing selfie camera on the other hand, goes for a 5MP sensor and a 120-degree wide angle lens.
