Samsung Galaxy A Series 2021

Samsung has taken the veil off its new Galaxy A series smartphones, which now boast high refresh rate displays and IP67 ratings for dust and water resistance. The Galaxy A52 is the most basic model among the three, with the other two being the Galaxy A52 5G and the Galaxy A72. For now, they have only been announced for sale in Europe with their prices being EUR 349, EUR 429 EUR 449, respectively.

All three of these mid-range offerings feature stereo speakers, 32MP front cameras, 25W fast charging support, and in-display fingerprint readers. Their design blueprints are inspired by the Galaxy S21 series and you’ll hence find Infinity-O displays and rectangular housings for their quad camera setups. Samsung has also announced a partnership with Snapchat that will bring a Fun Mode to the camera app, giving users seamless access to Snapchat Lenses.

The Galaxy A52 ships with a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display bearing a 90Hz refresh rate. It runs on the 8nm Snapdragon 720G chipset and is powered by a 4500mAh battery. The camera setup onboard this Samsung handset includes a 64MP main camera, a 12MP ultra wide-angle camera, and a couple of 5MP sensors for macro and portrait photography.

The Galaxy A52 5G offers a 120Hz refresh rate display, which bears the same dimensions and properties as those of the non-5G version, and it also bears the same camera setup. The Snapdragon 750G 5G SoC can be found inside it, apart from a 4500mAh battery.

As for the Galaxy A72, it carries a larger 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. Its internals are highlighted by the Snapdragon 720G chipset and a 5000mAh battery. The camera setup onboard this phone is a little different. The 5MP portrait camera is replaced by an 8MP telephoto snapper, offering optical zoom support.

The Galaxy A52, Galaxy A52 5G, and Galaxy A72 all run Android 11 with One UI 3.1 on top. They will be made available in Awesome Black, Awesome Blue, Awesome Violet, and Awesome White color options.
