Samsung has announced the upcoming availability of its new mobile phone called the Samsung B5702. This dual-standby phone lets you operate two SIM cards simultaneously. The company claims it to be the first dual-standby phone that supports quad band connectivity.

The phone comes integrated with two LED lights that indicate which SIM is active when you receive a call. You can personalize the phone with themes, melodies, and screensavers which will also help you to recognize which SIM card is in use. With dedicated hot key on the sides, you can easily switch between the two SIM cards without rebooting the device.

The B5702 sports a 2.4 inch TFT LCD screen with 320 x 240 resolution and a 3 megapixel camera with autofocus. It adorns a slider design and is merely 17.5m in thickness. This phone features a FM radio with RDS function, a MP3 player and supports various audio and video formats.

Additionally, the Samsung B5702 supports full web browsing and document viewer. It comes packed with 50MB of internal memory that can be expanded upto 8GB. Its battery life provides a talktime of upto 11.4 hours and a standby time of upto 220.9 hours.

The Samsung B5702 phone will be available in Russia and other markets in May 2009. The pricing details are not yet announced.
