Veering away from within the catapulting range of certain angry, feathered critters for a while, Amazing Alex is landing next month. Those fond of Rube Goldberg contraptions in particular, can probably expect a treat here as the game essentially involves assisting the protagonist in creating and using such complex constructs.
With complicated apparatuses built according to the whims and fancies of gamers, a lot of physics-based concepts come into the picture. Players can create their own levels with a set of 35 interesting objects in hand. And as always, they can share the experimental levels with friends to double the fun.
“Meet Amazing Alex, star of Rovio’s newest game! This whiz kid has a boundless imagination and a houseful of fun toys that can turn anything into a great adventure! From cleaning up his room to playing in his backyard, Alex creates amazing chain reactions to get the job done with the maximum amount of fun,” states a post on the official Rovio blog.
Each perplexing puzzle has more than one solution and this should make the adventure a multifarious title of sorts. Just like sharing levels, the solutions too can be passed on to make the complete experience lively and engaging. Only time will say if this new ‘amazing’ protagonist tailored by Rovio will indeed live up to expectations which are high at present, courtesy of the success of the Angry Birds franchise.
Rovio Amazing Alex is expected to hit iOS and Android devices sometime in July. It is slated to be made available for Windows Phone handsets subsequently.
