Android smartphone and tablet owners who are used to living life in the fast lane, now have a new application to help them while on the move called the Route 66 Maps + Navigation app. Incorporated with the Follow Me augmented reality navigation, it provides updated maps with 3D enhanced location content.

One of the main highlights of this new app is the Follow Me augmented reality navigation that it delivers a life-like driving experience. With a single tap, it displays the actual road that lays ahead on the Android screen. It comes with features like GPS, detailed maps, live video from the camera and narrates the directions to users in a clear manner. Featuring 3D graphics, the application is equipped with detailed and updated maps.

Offering turn-by-turn navigation in 57 languages and dialects, this Android application is equipped with 104 maps that are integrated with links for more detailed information about the destination via Wikipedia. Furthermore, drivers are able to view maps in any direction through multi-touch gestures for moving, rotating the view, tilting and zooming.

The Route 66 Maps + Navigation app is now available for free at the Android Market and is compatible with devices running Android 2.0 and up.
