Rhapsody coming to select Verizon Wireless 4G smartphones

Rhapsody Music Service

The Internet has been weaving into a much intricately designed web. To strengthen its position in today’s mobile web-age, Rhapsody has declared an enhanced version of its on-demand subscription music service for select 4G smartphones on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Mobile Broadband network.

Verizon Wireless users owning the selected 4G smartphones get exclusive access to Rhapsody’s 4G app, featuring high bitrate 192 AAC kbps and swifter downloads. This app is inclusive of Rhapsody TV that tags along Rhapsody Originals, concerts produced by Rhapsody and interviews.

“Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE network allows Rhapsody to push the capabilities of our Android app and create an optimal listening experience on mobile. Working with Verizon Wireless on the first 4G LTE network provided a fantastic opportunity to showcase the speed with which one can navigate, play and download a catalog of 10.6 million songs and access Rhapsody’s exclusive, premium content anywhere they go,” said Mark Keeney, head of marketing, Rhapsody.

The Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Mobile Broadband network was launched in December last year. It is said to be an advanced 4G network in the US, offering speeds up to 10 times faster on comparing with its 3G network. Later this year, numerous consumer devices with a range of applications are expected.
