A leak has just revealed that the upcoming OnePlus 11 handset could ship with a ceramic rear surface, instead of plastic or glass. The report mentions that the decision has been taken to make sure that the handset delivers a high-quality build along with top-notch performance.

OnePlus is no stranger to ceramic back panels. 2015’s OnePlus X featured a limited edition model that offered a ceramic rear surface. This model had become quite a hit in Europe and India, though it did mean that the weight of the handset was a little on the higher side.

Tipster Digital Chat Station (via GSM Arena) is the source of this leak and the account has also said that the OnePlus 11 will feature 16GB of RAM, which will most likely be reserved for its highest-end variant. There’s even speculation of UFS 4.0 storage making its way into the device.

The same source had previously leaked several other specs of the OnePlus 11 as well. It is expected to ship with a QHD+ resolution AMOLED display, which will refresh its visuals at the rate of 120Hz.

OnePlus has already confirmed that the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset will be powering its new flagship. The company has, in fact, said that it will be the first to come with the said SoC at its heart.

As for the cameras, the OnePlus 11 is said to carry a 50MP main shooter on its back. Its triple camera setup will also include a 48MP ultra-wide camera and a 32MP telephoto snapper. This camera setup, moreover, is also touted to carry the Hasselblad branding.

The launch date of the OnePlus 11 is not clear at the moment but we’ll make sure to keep you informed on that front.
