Reliance Jio has set its sights beyond every day consumers to the merchants that serve them with the launch of a JioFi JioGST starter kit. The package is supposed to help sellers become GST-compliant.
The JioFi JioGST starter kit includes access to Reliance Jio’s JioGST Software Solution and JioGST Knowledge Series, the JioFi device, unlimited voice calls, 24GB of 4G data, and a Jio Billing app. The deal covers a year’s worth of use and apparently encompasses offers worth up to Rs 10884.
Reliance Jio is in fact a member of the GST Suvidha Providers (GSP), a group set up to help taxpayers become GST-ready. The company’s starter kit allows merchants to conduct their tax-related activities on their smartphone itself, ridding themselves of the need for computers, printers, and any accounting or billing software.
The JioFi JioGST starter kit additionally provides for daily summary invoices and a catalog containing thousands of consumer, grocery and electronic products complete with tax codes. It’ll even let users get in touch with JioGST-empanelled tax practitioners to help them out and file their returns for them.
To get started, buyers will have to visit their nearest Reliance Digital/DX Mini/Jio Store with the original invoice, JioFi box, and Aadhaar card to get hold of a Jio SIM card. It’ll be pre-activated with a Jio Prime plan that offers unlimited data, 2GB of data, and 300 SMSes every 28 days for 12 cycles.

After that, they’ll have to visit the JioGST site, create an account, select their GSTIN, and pair their JioFi MSISDN. Merchants can order the JioFi JioGST starter kit via the brand’s website.
