Puma phone to roll out next week

Puma Phone The Puma phone which was initially announced in October 2009 will finally be unwrapped next week at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Apparently, a rear-view image of the phone is now available, reports Mobile Crunch. There also seems to be a teaser Puma website.

Apparently, this image was grabbed from a YouTube video of the Puma Phone. The video was there only for a short time. The picture of the phone exhibits the large solar panel on the back of the phone.

As per Unwired View, the Puma phone is produced by Sagem and is designed for sporty users. It appears to be a touch screen phone. Apart from the solar charging cell, the phone may encompass GPS, video chat, pedometer and bike/run tracking applications. Moreover the device could come with instant messaging, a sports news application, stopwatch, a ‘music turntable’ and a camera.

Also the Puma handset may offer access to the Puma World comprising of news from football, motorsport, sailing and more. Furthermore, users can also use several Puma apps and games.

The price of the Puma Phone is currently not known.
