ProtoSlice slashes its way to iPad and iPhone

Fans of slicing and slashing games have new reason to cheer as the ProtoSlice game made its way to the iTunes app store for the iPhone and iPad just recently. Avid gamers who like to tackle dangerous challenges could find this title interesting as it calls on players to fend for their virtual lives right through the levels.

Developed by creators of the popular Slice and the upcoming Prototype 2 games, this newly launched title appears to feature some noticeably gory content. The aim is to keep the fingers intact and prevent them from getting slashed. Razor-sharp Prototype blades keep spinning around and players have to avoid them while getting to the red P2 button and attempting to press it on time.

If the finger comes in contact with the blades, it will be sliced instantly and virtual ‘blood’ will splatter all over the glass. When this happens, the game automatically gets reset and players have to replay the level. The trick lies in determining and identifying the pattern of the blades’ spinning cycle so that they can be avoided tactfully.

Certain puzzle levels contain more than one blade and gamers have to use two or three fingers to move forward in the game. In such levels, players have to hold all the blades in place and move other blades out of the way. Gamers will be able to catch glimpses of the forthcoming Prototype 2 which is scheduled to launch in April next year while playing the title.

The ProtoSlice game for iOS can now be downloaded for free from the App Store.
