Seems like football enthusiasts who happen to own an iPhone are being given an innovative way to enjoy the 2010 World Cup 2010 right in their den. To maintain the tradition of the Vuvuzela, the PocketVuvu app has been created for iPhones, iPod touch, and iPad.

With all due respect to the ban imposed on the instrument, the app lets users blow the vuvuzela horn through their devices. The noise made by the horn can be played by blowing, shaking or pressing the soccer ball. The sound is considerably low and easy on the ears.

This 2.0 version app takes a memory of about 4MB and is available in three languages, namely English, Spanish and Portuguese. The PocketVuvu app offers 32 different vuvuzelas designed with the flags of each country competing for the World Cup.

It requires iPhone OS 3.0 or later versions for its functioning. The app is tamed to produce up to four different vuvuzela sounds. Fans can purchase the PocketVuvu app online through iTunes which is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.
