The Philips i908 could be the next addition to the company’s portfolio in India which comprises of five smartphones and two feature phones. The device in question recently popped up on the OEM’s website in the country and this is basically the first sign that an official announcement could be merely days away.
The Philips i908 smartphone looks like a smaller version of the i928 which is a 6-inch phablet. Both phones are powered by the same processor and also carry other similar features. The device in question is a 5-inch release and it proffers visuals in FHD resolution.
Processing power comes via a pretty beefy octa core CPU clocked at 1.7GHz which is without a doubt, based on the Cortex A7. Additionally, Philips has preloaded Android 4.4 KitKat and hasn’t shared any plans about updating the device to a newer version of the OS.
Where memory is concerned, the device has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of flash storage which can be expanded up to 32GB extra via the microSD card slot. Philips hasn’t held back on the cameras either as there’s a 5MP snapper on the front for selfies and video calling, and a 13MP rear shooter.
