Perhaps with an aim of competing with the Xiaomi Mi 4i, Panasonic has launched in India its new Eluga Z smartphone which has been granted an official price tag of Rs 13490. This device boasts of a 13MP main camera and features other mid-range specifications as well.
The Panasonic Eluga Z will be released into the market during the second week of July. Through a press release, the Japanese company has revealed that the new smartphone ships with a ‘metal blade’ design, but we’re still not sure whether this means it has actual or faux metal.
This dual SIM offering unfortunately runs the Android 4.4 KitKat OS, and there’s no word about a possible Lollipop update in the future. It however looks to distinguish itself by offering support for 21 Indian languages.

Unlike its prime competitor the Xiaomi Mi 4i, the Panasonic Eluga Z does not support 4G LTE networks which means it cannot be considered as future-proof a device as the former happens to be.
