The recently launched Ovi Maps version with free walk and drive navigation has been made available as a download for N97 users. This update can be downloaded by users who have installed phone software version 2.0.x.
Well, those who haven’t yet updated to the new software and do it quickly through the Nokia Software Updater or by checking the latest version on Nokia.com/softwareupdate.
The new Ovi Maps can be accessed via the software update client in the device. One has to simply open the Applications Folder, Software Update client and then choose the new Ovi Maps from the list.
Apparently, some N97 users can’t access the version 2.0.x. Well, Nokia is expected to roll-out a new software version shortly for these users. Following the Nokia N97, the company may make available the Ovi Maps update for other devices soon.
