Oracle launches Startup Cloud Accelerator program in Bengaluru

Oracle has announced a new Startup Cloud Accelerator program to help emerging firms and entrepreneurs gain a foothold in the industry. The first incubator for the project will be launched on April 8 in Bengaluru, a place which the company terms is the second best funded startup hub across the globe after the US.

Oracle plans to launch 8 more incubators in Thiruvananthapuram, Vijaywada, Gurgaon, Pune, Chennai, Mumbai and Hyderabad. The Startup Cloud Accelerator venture is open to any early-stage technology or technology-enabled businesses which are looking to develop unique solutions for everyday probems.

The final product should additionally have the potential to make a significant impact on the customer segment the company is targeting and be cloud-based. Interested parties can apply for the program online and have until May 5 to do so. Oracle plans to take in about 5 to 6 startups for each group and run the program over the course of 6 months.

During this time, the firms will be exposed to mentoring from prominent experts in the field and get to use free Oracle Cloud credits including IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, and DaaS.
