Oppo starts trial run for manufacturing phones in India

Oppo has begun conducting trial runs for the manufacture of its phones in India at Foxconn’s factory in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. So far, all the handsets sold by the brand in the country are imported from China.

Oppo Mobiles India Vice-General Manager Kai Feng said the company is manufacturing the Joy Plus smartphone at Foxconn’s facility. The brand is also thinking of setting up its own plant in the future, although those plans are still under discussion with nothing definite decided yet.
