Oppo and Gionee are two Chinese smartphone makers trying to make their marks in India and here we are comparing their respective latest smartphones with each other. The Oppo N1 went official in the country only yesterday, while the Gionee Elife E7 has been around for over a month as it arrived in December.
While Gionee is concentrating on taking on the budget market of the country by launching affordable and mid-range smartphones, Oppo is targeting the high-end gadgets. Let’s take a look at the features of the two smartphones and even figure out if the latter’s contender can justify the hefty price tag or not.
Oppo N1:
The Oppo N1 smartphone boasts of some innovative features and one of them is its swiveling camera that can rotate up to an angle of 206 degrees. The Gionee Elife E7 falls in the phablet category and it too features a full HD touchscreen of 1920 x 1080 pixels. But the phone is slightly smaller than the Oppo’s contender as it measures 5.5 inches. And it even features a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating on top to keep scrapes and scratches away. The gadget makes the most of the Jelly Bean 4.2 OS tweaked with the proprietary Amigo 2.0 UI and brings a 16MP camera and an 8MP webcam.
Internally, the device packs a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor which is clocked in at 2.2GHz and a 2500mAh battery is responsible for keeping it powered up for a long time. Its 16GB version brings 2GB of RAM, whereas the 32GB model of the Gionee Elife E7 has been loaded with 3GB of system memory.

In this comparison, the Gionee Elife E7 takes the cake as it brings a better processor and more RAM for a lower price as compared to the Oppo N1. But we must mention that the latter has a better battery and a bigger screen and it is worth the risk for that swiveling camera and the touch panel on the rear side. The Gionee phone has been priced at Rs 26,999 (16GB) or Rs 29,999 (32GB), while its competitor will set you back by Rs 39,999 (16GB).
