Oppo Mirror 5s smartphone with 4G, Android Lollipop gets unveiled

Oppo has rolled out its Mirror 5s with 4G LTE, a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and the Android v5.1 Lollipop OS. Rumors of this phone have been going around, but there was no hope that we’d hear the official word about it any time soon. Happily, fans have already been treated to the device’s launch, though there’s no clarity about its market availability at present.

The Oppo Mirror 5s has a 5-inch HD touchscreen with IPS technology and a 1.2GHz quad core chipset. Its graphics are powered by an Adreno 306 GPU and there’s 2GB of RAM aboard. Even though users will be provided with just 16GB of internal memory, there’s a microSD card slot for expanding the hoarding space by another 128GB. Its 2420mAh Li-polymer is of the non-removable type.

The software running the Mirror 5s is Android Lollipop mated with Oppo’s very own Color OS. The dual SIM phone connects to 4G LTE, 3G and Wi-Fi networks. It has an 8MP rear camera with flash and a 5MP front-facing lens. Photography is enhanced with various features like Beautify 3.0, double exposure, a selection of filters, slow shutter, super GIF, Expert mode and much more.

The Oppo Mirror 5s was launched in Taiwan just recently. There’s no word on if or when it will reach other markets across the globe. Even the price details haven’t been given away as yet. In terms of appearance, the company has given it a diamond-like reflective surface with individual cut-glass sections.
