Oppo Mirror 3 impresses mid-range smartphone market with its Rs 16990 tag

You may have already heard of the Oppo Mirror 3 although it went by a different name when we reported about it previously. Well, the smartphone has been officially released in India for a price of Rs 16990, so quickly after it enjoyed a roll-out in its home country.

The Chinese OEM behind the Oppo Mirror 3 is clearly eager to ensure that it wastes no time in expanding its mid-range portfolio for the competitive smartphone market in India. As it stands, there aren’t many Oppo handsets which are pegged as low as this one.

The Mirror 3 goes by the moniker Oppo 3000 in China, and carries the same features. It sports a 4.7-inch HD touchscreen topped by a 5MP camera for selfies, video calling and what not. The back is given to an 8MP snapper with a Sony IMX179 BSI sensor, Blue Light Filter and f/2.0 aperture.

Under the hood, you’ll find a 2000mAh battery, a 1.2GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, two SIM card slots as well as space for a microSD card of up to 128GB. You’ll have to contend with just 1GB of RAM here and the Android KitKat OS aboard is mated with Oppo’s very own ColorOS software.
