Oppo outs Joy Plus smartphone in India at Rs 6990

The all new Oppo Joy Plus smartphone has just been launched in India with a price that reads Rs 6990, which is a stark contrast to the kind of retail values the company’s other recent handsets came affixed with. This new dual SIM device is competing with the likes of the Lenovo A6000, the second-gen Moto E, the Xiaomi Redmi 2 and other similarly priced options.

The Oppo Joy Plus has been fitted with a 4-inch display offering a WVGA resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. A 1.3GHz dual core MediaTek MT6572 processor powers its operations from within, taking assistance from 1GB worth of RAM. With devices even from the sub-Rs 5000 segment offering quad core CPUs, it’s quite a surprise that the Chinese company has chosen to go with a dual core model.
