Opera Software last made news when Grameenphone released a co-branded version of Opera Mini for mobile buffs across Bangladesh. Well, the company has now announced that its popular Opera Mini browser reached 100 million monthly users last month and two billion daily page views.
The number of monthly Opera Mini users around the globe has augmented by 11 million since February 2011 and doubled from the eminent 50 million mark in February last year. The two billion daily page views have considerably increased as compared to the one billion daily page views enjoyed in July 2010.
The Opera Mini claims to function efficiently on over 3000 distinct handsets raging from basic to high-end smartphones. The Opera Mini technology precisely compresses web content by around 90 percent before sending it to the handset, thereby loading pages quickly and reducing undesired browsing costs. Users can also enjoy other features like tabbed browsing, password manager, bookmarks and speed dial.
